These models of an old barrel and wagon wheel were created as environment props for my recent Western Saloon project. This was my first attempt at sculpting in Blender, which I found to be a very relaxing process that I look forward to exploring further. Using Marmoset Toolbag, I baked the sculpted details onto low-poly versions of the models, which were then textured in Substance Painter. I also used Marmoset to create the final renders.
With the project’s texel density set at 1024 px/m, I had to carefully pack each model’s UVs, making full use of the available UV space and ensuring the textures maintained consistent detail with the other assets in the scene.
